It’s been a long time since I’ve played a coffee house. Given the awesome (and stupendously loud) crowds that come to my shows at the conventions, I’m always a bit surprised by the gear shift that coffee shops and house concerts represent. It’s intimate, personal, and feels a lot more like a bunch of my friends just hanging out than a concert.
