Live at FishCon 2011

The great feast of a thousand rolls has returned. This year the crowd was particularly rowdy- and God knows I love that. We put the UStream chat up on the big screen and let the flesh-based audience interact with the digital audience… something I’m not sure was such a good idea. But hey, it made for an interesting show!

No fish were harmed in the making of this concert. We harmed the hell out of them for a few hours beforehand, that’s all.

Live at the Lucey House 2010

Fishcon 2010 Once again the folks down in Atlanta pooled their resources and massive amounts of raw fish to bring me down for another show. With an even bigger crowd than last time, the poor living room must’ve felt as bloated as we were after all those sushi rolls. No matter, the show must go on!

Live at the Parker House

In the early part of April I was flown out to the Buckeye State for back-to-back house concerts. I recorded both the Marple house concert and the Parker house concert, but this one just turned out better (read: my voice sounded a lot better on the second night). Even though there were a lot of technical difficulties with the recording (like forgetting to turn on the crowd recorded, for one), I think it really captured the vibe of the two Ohio concerts very well.

Many, many thanks to the Parkers for flying me out to their part of the world and the Marples for loaning me a keyboard and a place to sleep both nights. As I’m fond of saying, I have the best fans ever invented!

Live at the Lucey House

Thanks to Brett, Jake, and all the others who pooled their resources and flew me down to Atlanta, I’ve actually got a real live concert recording this month. The only drawback? I had the plague. No matter, it seems the crowd that gathered for this house concert enjoyed themselves regardless. Until next time, keep washing those hands!

Time to Plan The Attack

Greetings! It’s a new year and about time to start planning how things will unfold in 2009. Matthew is currently working on a new album as well as material for all of you, but there’s more to this site than music! The calendar is totally clean right now, so you have the opportunity to decide how the year will unfold.

The Beer Bash

Photo by a4gpaFor those of you in the VIP crowd, Matthew has to prep for his first annual Beer Bash. If you’re eligible to attend, when would be your ideal time to get together? We’re planning on touring a brewery in the Boston area (Sam Adams, perhaps?) then heading to a backyard party where the grown-ups can try some of Matthew’s own beer and everyone else can enjoy some food and music.

Drop a comment on this post and talk to each other, we want to hear your thoughts!

House Concerts

At least twice a year Matthew will play in someone’s living room. Which living room, however, may depend on you! Where should Matthew come play? Would you like to host a show in your house? Hit the comments and let us know what you think!

Live at CC Chapman’s

Here’s a concert Matthew performed right before heading off to Block Island in spring 2008. This was a small invitation-only concert over at C.C. Chapman‘s house.
