Candor in Em

The publisher of Pam Bachorz’ new book, Candor, sent me a pre-release copy to read. They’re already licensing some of my other works (like A Cautionary Tail), but the concept of this book has inspired me to write something in the genre of a classical piano piece. To get an idea of what’s behind this, here’s an excerpt from the book jacket:

Everything is perfect in the town of Candor, Florida. Teens respect their elders, do their chores, and enjoy homework… because they’re controlled by subliminal messages. Oscar Banks, the son of the town’s founder, is the model of perfection…but he knows about the Messages, and he fights them with his own counterprogramming.

The majority of the music they play in this town is classical music. Having survived 20 years of classical piano lessons, I felt like I could provide a song of my own to fit the feel of the subliminal tunes. Full Disclosure: No subliminal messages have been embedded in this track, but you’re more than welcome to add your own and see what happens.
